Over the loss of one 5 star recruit.

Seriously? It's ONE player, take a look at some of the current players on LSU's roster and their Rivals rankings from past recruiting classes:

Randle *****
Sheppard *****
Ware *****
Loston *****
Davenport *****
Montgomery ****
Mathieu ****
Mingo ****
Ford ****
Reid ****
Hillard ****
Brockers ****
Brooks ****
Blackwell ****
Dworaczyk ****
Claiborne *** <--- wow.
Lonergan ***
Wing ***
Blue ***
Logan ***
Hurst ***

The sky is truly not falling chicken littles.

Really?

Top instate recruit. Bama. Nick Saban.

Any amateur sleuth could figure it out.

But yeah I agree LSU will still get theirs.

Man it's just the fact that LA sticks together and leaving sucks... we don't care if it is a kid or not, Louisiana's look at it as if you are not with us, you're against us.... Just that kind of state.

That being said frick em', let him go wherever he wants. We're still gonna win Monday and momma is gonna punk his arse.

1. Because Saban stole him out of our backyard
2. Because it's Alabama
3. Because the kid made a spectacle out of it on national TV and made LSU look stupid
4. Because he's the most high profile recruit on the board
5. Because it made national news?

I can't believe that some of you are really so dense that you have to be told these things.

And I can't believe you are putting so much weight into one spectacle that will be forgotten by signing day.

Seriously, after all the crap I read on this board last night about how "the fence has been kicked in" and "Sad day for Tiger fans" blah blah blah, it's one guy. Not the end of the world, move on.

If it is setting a trend or knocking down a fence, we will be the ones crying in the end. We won't know that for a couple of years, but for you to pretend 'there's nothing to see here' is simply whistling past the graveyard.

It's the way he handled it. There is NO reason to lie to

Our coaches and then rub LSU's face in it on national tv.

It wasn't right and that's the main problem here. Who

gives a shite really if a player wants to go out of state.

would we have liked to have him? Sure we would, but at

the end of the day I don't players at LSU that don't want to

be there or were pressured to be there. It's an HONOR for

LSU to want you in the first place. Players aren't doing LSU

a favor by going there, it's the other way around

People are pissed because he held a huge spectacle, committed to LSU's arch rival 4 days before the championship game against that rival and said he had planned to go to Bama for 2 years, thereby making it seem he played LSU.

If an emotion is generation at all, not sure how it could be anything but one of annoyance.

He looks pretty close to a "can't miss guy" I am just glad it is at safety and not LB or CB or QB or Line. Outstanding player at those positions would have a bigger impact. Sucks that he is playing for satan.

Oh well his lose as well as ours. He could have played at LSU where the players love the coach and enjoy the game instead he gets to go to Alabama where the head coach sucks the fun out of everything. And before you flame that is how the players that played for saban felt when he coached here. After he left and les came here they realized how rigid and fun sucking satan was.

The good news is if he doesn't redshirt and leaves after 3 years that means 2 out of 3 years that he plays LSU will be in Tiger Stadium.

I like those odds!

I agree. No real big deal. LC is a really good player, but we're really just fretting over the "possible" difference in play between him and whatever other quality player Miles brings in instead.

In the Under Armour game, LC's team lost by 33 points. His Dutchtown team lost early in the playoffs. Bama will still win and lose some games with him. He's one player. Let's see what happens in the rest of the recruiting year.

LC was just one very good player that we lost. Kinda like Perilloux, McKnight, and others. We lose some, get some, and remain the awesome Tigers!

And if Landon wasn't at Bama it's not like Saban would have some scrub in his place at Safety.

Those guys didn't play against us annually, and sometimes semi-annually
