You hear so many experts, coaches, etc. give Bama the edge because of Saban & the time that he has to prepare. Give me a break, after 40+ days, what he is going to teach his players that is so much more than another staff could teach theirs. There is PLENTY of time for any team to prepare.

When the game starts, it comes down to the players on the field, talent & execution. And LSU has more talent than Bama, man for man. And the "experts" will agree to that, but they want to worship Saban. Saban put his team in position to win Nov. 5th, Bama just did not have enough talent to execute the plan. The funny thing is LSU won when they did not really play that well.

Saban will have his players so wound up and intimidated they'll have to check with the ref on which way to run the ball.

I wonder what Utah, Texas and Iowa think of his having a month to prepare?

Actually, I don't entirely agree....as I saw it, the teams were about as evenly matched from a talent standpoint as they could be...

the difference in the first game was all coaching, IMO...when their drives stalled, Saban chose to attempt unrealistic field goals, which they missed...we, on the other hand, punted and had solid field position on them all night...

bottom line is, coaching is a chess match...and that night, saban lost...

ETA: I do totally agree that Saban will teach his players no more in that month than Les will teach his...so predicting the outcome of the game based on that makes no sense at all...

Saban never won a bowl game as Mich St HC either FWIW.... I guess that supports the 40 days to get ready thing

Here's why: Every time the say the name "Saban" they get more viewers and advertisers shite money. It comes down to nothing more than that.

When they say "Miles" nothing happens. When they say "Miles eats grass," "Miles is goofy," "Mad hatter," or "Honey Badger" again, people shite money.

You cannot honestly expect any 24 hour sports news network to care about anything but money.

And this means that Bama'a kicker did not execute like LSU's because LSU has a better kicker. Now when I say more talent, we are not talking about much, but the point is, it comes down to the players. LSU can play with ANYBODY on talent. Miles' staff is just as good as Saban's staff. 40 days gives both teams all of the time that they need so it comes down to the talent ON THE FIELD.
