selfless. Not me me me...it's we we we. LSU needs to find more like him to fill our needs. I'm really getting tired of this circus atmosphere. Watching Brees' locker room speech several weeks ago made me really hate what I'm seeing right now.

I'm sure that DB was all class...even at 18.

It is a lot easier to be all about team while making a gazillion $'s.

Drew is a great guy but if we paid him the league minimum do you think he would be all rah rah?

One could argue the exact opposite.

Yes...I'm pretty sure that DB would be the same type of (team first individual) regardless of what he was making. That's what makes him special. I doubt that most of the prima-donna's coming up today even get that.

you don't get to be 13-0 without leaders in the locker room. don't really know what you're alluding to but I really, really like what I'm seeing right now. they're still teenagers trying to find their way with cameras stuck up their asses and the weight of the collective tiger nation on their backs. get a clue.

I consider myself a pretty well adjusted adult. Love other, attempt to do good in the world and not put myself first. I put myself first when I was 17. Judging 17 year old athletes, many of which who will eventually use their skills to do well for others, is just as ugly as acting selfishly.

Not trying to make this a race issue, but I doubt many young black athletes look up to Drew Brees like many people may think. There are lots of good role models out there, I think we somehow get the bad ones stuck in our heads.

Really stretching out there. Why would we want a 2x Heisman finalist?

Drew had great role models......Marty Akins is his uncle(Quarterback for Texas during Earl Campbell days and a successful attorney), Ray Akins is his grandfather( Was at one time the winningist high school football coach in Texas history and a strong disciplinarian) and smart parents who provided at least for his youth a wonderful loving enviroment!

I judge what I see. The point of my post was very clear...so was the target. My gut feeling was that LC was playing LSU and no one wanted to see it. I don't have a problem with him picking another school...its the classless disrespect to LSU & Louisiana that I have a problem with.

Hope he feels as good about his decision when we kick that Gump arse on Monday.
