What aspects of the NC game are you most concerned about?

The following are my thoughts.
When Alabama has the ball:
(1) Stopping the run. I expect Alabama to rely even more heavily on Richardson in this iteration of the contest. For example, I doubt they will repeat the mistake they made in overtime of the first game, failing to the hand the ball off even once to Richardson. I suspect he will ge the ball on every series of the game from start to finish. As was true in the initial game, if LSU can't consistently stop the run, we can't win. I have faith in the d-line, of course;
(2) The Richardson dump pass and Richardson out of the backfield. In the last game, we inexplicably failed to cover Richardson out of the backfield on multiple plays, which led to long gains. That can't happen again;
(3) Intermediate routes over the middle to tight ends and slot recievers. I believe Bama will attempt to exploit our linebackers and nickel backs in coverage. We were beaten on several of these pattersn during the game in Tuscaloosa. (Mo also picked one off, but Tyran and certain other players struggled in coverage on long crossing type routes.)
When LSU has the ball:
(1) Predictable and conservative playcalling/lack of a passing game. I don't believe we can just line up and run directly at Alabama's defense. We have to pass to win. We must be balanced. We must score touchdowns. What this means, naturally, is that Krags and Stud need to call a creative game and that JJ needs to execute with accuracy. If we can throw intermediate routes against Bama and force them to defend the entire field, I think our run game will blossom and we will dominate. If we're one dimensional, we'll founder;
(2) Offensive line. In my estimation, the line had one of its least productive games against Alabama. This was epitomized by our failure to gain a first down on 2& 2 and 3 & 2 during the final drive in regulation. We got very little push in the middle of the line for most of the game. The protection wasn't fantastic, either. Although they struggled mightily against UGA in the first half, I do believe the o-line has improved since Tuscaloosa.

LOL. I was remiss in not mentioning this key concern. I share it.

i think JJ starting gives bama a lot more to concern themselves with; JJ running and the option to the outside. this might open up the passing game some and maybe even some running room in between the tackles for some plays. i am not worried too much about us moving the ball this game and i think we will score more points; 17-24 imo. i also think our defense will be effective; maybe not as much as last game but hell, bama only crossed the 30 yd lind once or twice. i guess the biggest thing that worries me is turnovers and mistakes (blown coverages, going for it on 4th and 2 right up the middle into bamas strength, etc).

I hear what you are saying. It's a legitimate point. However, I will be very interested to see how Bama defends the option this game. Presumably, given their difficulties in the first game, Saban has been drilling his defense constantly over the last month on the proper, discplined approach to stopping the option. Still, they'll have to respect the option, which may create opportunities elsewhere.

- Jordan's accuracy
- stopping their running game

The weather. The rain will negate our speed.

JJ Running the option and getting hit (as he pitches cause he opens himself up) and knocked out of the game by one of their linebackers!

We need to bring in the Ga. Southern offense. They just rolled on ala., rushing for 3 TDs and 300 yds., they made ala. look bad. Their QB option was quite good, they did this the 11th game.

Teams who run the option typically have not favored well with a month to prepare against them.
LSU will have Jefferson running multiple options.
Case in point how LSU SHUT DOWN Georia Tech's triple option (when no one sould stop them during the season) and with a month to prepare LSU did. Similar happened to Navy in their bowl game.

Don't have any. Tigers will prevail.

If LSU plays a little less conservative and finishes some drives, I couldn't care less what Bama does. Bama really only has one playmaker on offense and LSU has a done a fairly good job of "controlling" him (and Ingram) in 2 previous games.

Agree on first point.
Injuries. Especially on defense, though.

They did this at will in the Iron Bowl.

Make that after the half. We were at the Sugar Bowl and they stopped serving after the half. Said it was a BCS rule.

I think we will use "no huddle" like we did in the second half of the Oregon game, an utilize DP and Clement more. Bama is not going to change their offensive philosophy, we need to tackle better
