Johnny O'Braynt Out for a Month

He reported on his Facebook this morning that he broke his hand, is having surgery today, and will be out for a month. This means that he will miss games vs Bama, Miss St, Florida, and Kentucky.
Losing a kid who averages 7.9ppg and 6.2rpg is never a good thing, and its especially bad when it happens to a young kid who's shown so much promise.
Think the .01% of a tournament shot we had has officially gone out the window??

If for real that sucks

That sucks bad. Luckily we have some depth. Hope Storm and Hamilton come up big this next month. I think we will be okay

That's a big loss for LSU but means more minutes for Storm Warren and Malcom White

Storm gets abused in the paint defensively. O'bryant's presence went a long way in holding so many opponents to low scoring games

I think our tourney chance went out the window with the loss to UVA honestly, because I don't think we can run through the conference.
Losing JOB will definitely be felt, but the good thing about this year is Johnson has depth and he's shown he can adapt game plans.
I think Storm Warren could handle more duties, he's been solid this year...but I'm excited to see what TJ does.

This thought ruined my whole week. I agree

The UVA game would have been huge for us, but I think the SEC gets more people in this year than normal. ACC is way down and SEC has some solid teams. If we can win some big games in SEC play then I think we have good chances. 9-7 probably wont do it but 10-6 will IMO.

Well frick. Looks like Storm will be fouling out the next few games.

Just when it looked like we may turn a corner.

Turner should've brought that last game into OT,he needs shooting lessons, the ball came off the rim on a angle after the missed 3, which says, he does not shoot with form in mind.If he did shoot with a deliberate form, with elbow under, and also not drifting before landing, it would have went straight ,went in ,or bounce back straight . He seems to be the the kind of player who has some form, but has to be feeling up,to make shots consistently."Feeling hot"should only remotely assist FORM, but it seems,it all feeling or famine with him.Yeah he was hampered by foul trouble and didn't get many shots. He's young, but the numbers will not lie in the end, for his future and the team wins, hope he figures it out.

Just looking on the bright side, that's a tough stretch of games he will be missing. We would struggle to win more than a couple of games during that stretch, even with him. I would rather him miss this stretch, than the month after.
