I believe Gruden said that, and while I don't completely agree with him, I will say the ACC is right up there with the B1G as the most consistently overrated conference.
I'd also like to throw in that the Chokies choked, and sPitt still sucks, so all is right in the world today.

I think the Big East has some quality teams. I do believe that the BE is superior to the ACC.

By who? Pretty much everyone thinks the ACC is the worst BCS football conference.

FSU pre-season #5,VT ended the season #5 and 2 BCS bids this year sounds pretty overrated to me.

the ACC has always been considered a basketball conference .. hell, they added florida state and miami to beef up football and it still hasn't worked ..

even though VT lost twice this season to the team WVU just slaughtered in the Orange Bowl .. hence the oddities of the polls ..

Agreed...Wasn't Louisville pretty damn close to earning a BCS bid?
They lost to TWO very average ACC schools, FLA INT, Marshall, and barely beat Kentucky...fwiw they also beat WVU
One game and everyone thinks the Big East was overrated this season...Without West Virginia this conference would be on par with Mountain West

WVU's 26 point loss to Syracuse and choke to Louisville makes it hard to rank them too high.

Without reading this thread, I will say that the Big East is far from being underrated, however; Clemson was a tad bit overrated.

btw the only team in the rest of that list of teams that had been in a BCS league for a while is Rutgers the conference will end up just being nothing but former mid majors

the ACC needs a participation trophy for their entire conference where no one gets their feelings hurt and everyone is a winner
