How do you think they picked the former players for Ole War Skule?

Obviously, some of the "big stars" were included and interviewed throughout.... but I wonder what criteria was used to select who was and was not interviewed for the movie?
For example... I would have expected to see Mike Anderson... not there.
I would have expected to see Hokie Gajan... not there.
Michael Brooks, Laron Landry, Jacob Hester, Gabe Northern (he may haave been in there --- footate was, can't remember an interview) ... and on and on.... surely other QBs besides Bert Jones, Tommy Hodson and Mauck would have wanted to participate.
Just makes me wonder if the featured spots went to biggest boosters or contributors ... or if that really had nothing to do with it. Just curious more than anything.
It was good, entertaining... not a "hype" show at all in my opinion... but a good "History of LSU football"... and well done, I believe.

Convenience, according to one of the QB's named, as well as timing of interviews. I agree though, entertaining, especially the first part about history.

Maybe some people were asked and turned them down.

Still live in the Baton Rouge area or came down for the interview?

Just a matter of logistics.
I asked someone who should have been interviewed why he wasn't, and it's just timing.
I think if more would have known how big this project turned out to be, they would have made themselves more available.

Now that the template has been set, I would like to see the series of player interviews expanded. "Ole War Skule Memories: Volume 1", then maybe show more of the Tittle, Taylor, Cannon, Dietzel and others from that era, talking about more anecdotes, etc." Volume 2 could be from Stovall through Casanova, etc.
Not that it will happen, but I can see a market for this and it would be invaluable for LSU football historians in the future.

They wanted to interview some folks from the first team back in 1893.
Unfortunately, none of them responded to repeated attempts to contact them. I heard they tried a ouija board, Sister Tima the palm-reader out there on the outskirts of Bunkie, Dionne Warwick's Psychic Friends Network, & even went so far as to get ahold of Miss Cleo's PR guy, but she wasn't doing anymore "Free Readin's" no more.
