Yea this would be pretty helpful. I'm coming in from California without tickets, and even though I'm somewhat familiar with the area I'd like to have a list of some of the better spots. I'd like to avoid being stuck roaming down Bourbon St trying to squeeze into any bar with a TV.

I have no "official" list... but here 1 and where I'm going... $45 per person, incudes dinner and they'll have "drink specials"... reservations only should eliminate the "crowded bar" I hope... I too want a good crowd, but not a shoulder to shoulder, chest to back packed house where you can't get to the bar or bathroom, etc.

This is where we will be for the game.

That looks pretty solid.

Anyone know anything about what Walk-ons is having (besides the information on the flyer)?

For the Bama game two years ago we arrived an hour early and sat in our own chairs we brought and watched in a tent they had set up. All the regular seats had been taken by then. Barely had a place to sit but it was fine and the wait staff was awesome. Better arrive a couple of hours early at least for this game.

Does anyone know if they'll project it on the wall in Champion Square?

I seem to recall someone posting that they will not be showing the game in Champion Square.

Dayum! I was hoping they would be. We're also trying to get the bar in the WWII museum to show it, but keep that on the DL.

Howlin Wolf is having a viewing party with Benjy Davis and Rebirth Brass Band. They have projection screens for the game. The last I heard I think Voodoo barbecue is catering. Here is a link if anyone is interested to the event page and ticket page. LINK

For this game you need tickets in advance for Big Woodrow's which includes food. Go to their website to find details.

I'm sure it's open to whomever wants to attend and I'd imagine there will be fans from both schools there..... but I have nothing "official" on that.

IMO -- having a contingent from both schools is fun.... hopefully people behave like adults --- I figure the $45 entry fee keeps out low lifes and punks that are just looking to get drunk and fight somebody.

That's not to say I expect it to be geriatric.... those folks probably have tickets or wouldn't make the trip.

I anticiapte a good mixed crowd - which is how I watched the 2007 championship and it was great.... there were probably 30 buckeyes and 100 LSU fans at the place I watched that game... but I had a family hook up for passes - and that opportunity is not here for this time around.
