I've seen one fly 100 feet over my head at the LSU driving range.

I wish I could have gotten a pic. He was on the wing before I realized what it was. It was a juvenile with a dark head. The huge raptor beak gave it away.

Had one show up a few weeks ago at my house. Was sitting on the levee of our pond then flew to a tree when I opened my back door. Had to grab a spare scope and get a good look at him. Was gone the next day. Guess he came down feeding of a flock of geese and stayed for a day or two eating fish out my pond. Was a pretty awesome sight

See them at Toledo Bend everytime we go..
Watched on snag a Bass about 3 pounds and fly away.

See them Sabine River too.
Watched one catch what looked like a 7 pound Redfish.

Where we fish at 210 bridge one sits in a dead tree all the time.

I have seen a nest just past 310 going into NOLA off to the right for some time now. I finally saw one of the eagles last week. I thankfully didn't wreck trying to get pics. No pics though - they were terrible.

Their population is really on the rise. We saw one last month along River Road near the new casino and 2 of them chasing a heron near Donaldsonville. From 1990-2000 when we lived in Baton Rouge we only saw one ever. Now it is not too surprising.

Over the last week we saw 6 in Florida and 2 in Georgia. Always a cool bird to see. No other place comes close to Alaska, though. From our trip last summer:

I took pics of one from my stand in Convent the other day. Badass birds. I watched him scope out the bayou and them grab him a fish.
