Has anybody else noticed Beckham's lack of production over the last four or five games? Not only are his receptions down, but he seems to be targeted less.

I think part of the problem is that JJ's release does not typically allow for slip screens and quick throws, which seemed to be Beckham's bread and butter. Plus JJ seems to have better chemistry with Randle and Shepard since he has had more time to work with those guys. JL was more comfortable making the quick throws to Beckham. I hope we find a way to get him more involved on the 9th and next year, he was on pace to catch 45-50 passes through the first 7 or 8 games.

It is not my intent for this to turn into a JJ/JL thread, but I'm sure it will unfortunately.

agreed. The question is --How many balls have come his way in the last 5 games. Not many.

LSU has played better teams, tougher defenses (Bama, Arky, UGA) and concentrated on the run more.

The JJ offense doesn't utilize bubble screens like the Lee offense.

You got 2 out of 3 right, Arkansas' defense is garbage.

Always the JJ bandwagon defending what is painfully obvious to the unbiased fans. The passing game has gone in the tank just like the other 2 years with JJ at QB. Facts.

Would you prefer a turnover machine or a run-oriented offense?

How many turnovers did JJ have last year? JL only had 3 in the 8 games that he played in this year.

Really??? Either you are just extremely biased or have a VERY selective memory.

ETA: BTW Arkansas' Defense is ranked 51st in the nation, I would not call that a strong defense at all. Giving them middle of the road in the SEC is being polite.

You play the game - is this because the JL plan tends to deal with the rush by dumping the ball instead of running it?

you do realize we run two totally different offenses with JJ/Lee at QB right. One utilizes quick passes, the other utilizes deep throws.

That is not the biggest distinction between the two. I think both JJ and JL took shots down the field, JL throws more quick passes and JJ tends to throw more rollout run/pass options. I think both utilized deep throws this year, but the difference was in the short passing game, one throws quick routes the other throws more on the run.

Odell gets a thread and it digresses to this JJ/JL slap fight. Come on man!

Odell, is not in this offense because JJ can not read defenses and throw timing passes. He has a slow release. Watch next year when we actually have another throwing QB. If JL had kept his job, all the receivers would have better numbers. And before you talk about the Alabama game, just post JJ's stats in that game. I know,, no turnovers and we won.
