Just about two months from release and the demo should be available for play in January.Word is the demo will give a taste of single and multiplayer online modes.

I also have the collectors edition paid off. I can't wait to see how the decisions I made in 1 & 2 come back to haunt me

I played ME2 first, on PC. I then deleted the game and lost all my info. I just recently played ME1 all the way through and after I beat it, I downloaded ME2. Without doing anything ME2 kind of knows everything I did so I'm guessing everything transferred over.

Yep, I got three imports that are all different.
Giving the base to the Illusive Man seems like the one that could bite you the most and maybe leaving David with his brother in the Overlord DLC.

I've never played it on PC, but you can download different imports here for PC.

I've got a few playthroughs as well. I've got what I consider my canon playthrough where I got everything just right, one where I'm just Shepard - intergalactic space douche, and my original playthrough where I am kind of in the middle.

I went and traded in 5 games today so I could get my copy purchased. ME3 is the 2nd game I was looking forward to, besides GOW3.
I am pumped. Can't wait to get back to my house so I can play ME2 again.

I just completed doing that myself. I've got a few good male(renegade/paragon) Sheps to import, so I decided to run a renegade chick Shep too.

shite! I just traded my release xbox in for the new Xbox S. Unless my choices are saved on my gamer profile I am SOL.

No, it's saved on the hard drive, but you still have time to run a playthrough on both 1 & 2.
If you don't have the previous games you can buy ME1 for $9 and ME2 for $17 at Gamestop.
ME3 prolly will have a download you can purchase (ME2 did), where you can make all the key decisions to bring your character up to date.
