Did they ever explain who gave the dude the razorblade?
also...The house on the flight path...wtf was that?
seems like it was never part of the master plan.
Was it jsut to throw the feds off the scent?

Also, how the frick will Carrie be part of the series going forward?
She seems all but written out of the show.
I guess she will work behind the scenes with Saul and Virgil.

Rondo I don't know if there are any guarantees that Carrie will be a part of the show going forward.
Lester I did enjoy it. The final show was a little bit of a letdown. Was expecting more of a cliffhanger type situation that left you wanting to watch the next episode immediately.

Clearly she will never be an active CIA agent/analyst again.

This. She's obviously going to continue to be part of the show but I don't think these writers would ever bitch out enough to make her a part of the CIA again. Despite how right she is about Brody, there's no way, in reality, that she would ever get back in the CIA.
I'm surprised Saul made it through season 1. Those mentor type characters usually don't make it long. I would put good money on him not making it through season 2.

Didn't the house have a clear path to Marine One for a sniper?

I think it was just one of Abu Nasirs plans(it was a direct shot on Marine one, it also set the wild goose chase up for a Marine Sniper that was just the smaller part of the plan, so it did have a purpose)they might have stuck to it but they had to scrap it when the couple(white girl/saudi) got caught up. He usually has 2 or 3 plans in motion, I think Carrie mentioned that during one of her nervous breakdowns.
I think eventually next season they'll reveal who slipped the razor blade to the prisoner. It's still plausible that it was Brody, and also possible that there's still a mole in the CIA. I suspect more than ever that's the case to make next season more interesting.

But killing the vp was not the ultimate goal.

Killing all of those people in the bomb shelter was the goal. Those are all the guilty parties in the school bombing.

Yeah it was pretty much the ultimate goal. He's the one responsible for killing Nazirs son. It's just that now Nazir see's an opportunity to do way more damage. But in the beginning, I think he would have settled with just killing the VP who was at one time the head of the CIA that ordered the drone attack. It almost seemed like Brody had to make him realize that just killing the VP and some other important people was a small move compared to what they can do now.
Also you have to realize the show was playing us, the Marine One sniper mission was the goal, but since they had so many pieces in place and so many sleeper cells, they used that mistake to slip Brody into the plan. I think it came together better than Nazir ever expected it would. Brody was like the A-Bomb, when all else failed, he was gonna use him to make it happen.
What I loved most about this show is they did a great job of throwing us off while keeping the mission plausible. I mean nothing happened that was so far fetched that you lose interest. Even keeping Walker alive was pretty brilliant, when at first I wanted to think it was just a mind frick for the audience more than a master plan of Nazir. But they showed how calculated this guy is and how patient he's always been.....so it ended up making sense. Even better that Brody was just as clueless as we were.

For some reason, I still suspect Saul as the mole. He casually dismissed his lie detector test. He was one of the few who had access to the prisoner with the razor blade ordeal.
However, his snooping into the drone bombing is throwing me off.

It turned into the ultimate goal, but I think initially he just wanted the VP dead. And I'm sure anyone else was just lagniappe.

Yeah, I kind of had my suspicions of Saul as well, but what holds me back is that he's Jewish and they fricking hate the Arabs, I can't imagine he'd be helping them. I think the newer guy that just stepped up and was teamed up with Carey might be dirty.

Yeah, I think Abu Nasir definitely wanted the VP dead. Getting the others was just gravy. Plus, I don't think at that time he was sure he could count on Brody.

You are probably right, remember how upset he was he didn't have a direct line to Nasir. Nasir prob kept his distance in case he failed.

Just seems too obvious, like they want the audience to think it's Saul because of the lie detector test.

I have watched it.
The marine gave him the blade, the house idea was given up due the feds sniffing around.
Cmon rondo

Idk I swear I saw carries boss (the black guy) I can't recall his name, set something on the table. You see it on the tape that Carrie and Saul watch of Brody fighting with the prisoner.
