Bama, CBS, and ESPN sold their souls for the "Game of the Century" to be played at night for the Tuscaloosa fans. Not only did bama lose it, but it possibly made the most difficult game of the following year much easier, and potentially lock back to back undefeated seasons.

How ironic...

LSU should really have done something about the Towson game. There is no benefit from playing it as opposed to a mid level BCS team.

Agree! God I thought we would drop Towson and play 9 sec games. Terrible move by athletic dept to schedule a team like Towson.

Interesting. Who decided that?

As did I. I am very disappointed that game is still on the schedule.

it is possible that lsu coudld not find a bcs team that was willing to travel on that date with no return game.
i doubt lsu really wanted a FCS opponent on the schedule at all unless its an in state team

why would (or should) a bcs team be expected to agree to a deal that would not include a return game? would LSU?

I agree with the insistence on preserving the "sacred" rivalry game between UTe and the Gumps. It ends up screwing us, and we just traded 2 SEC cupcakes for Darth Visor and the Aggies. Very tough DEC schedule, but we might need it to wash down all the OOC cupcakes....What a yucky home schedule. Come'on Verge!

UGA is pretty lucky dodging LSU, Bama, and Arky again. Guess we will have to expose them again in the SEC championship game

What are some decent hotels close to LSU'S campus (walking distance to tailgating) that wont cost an arm and a leg?

I wish we would ditch either Towson, Idaho or north Texas for an FBS team...sucks that we have to pay so much for those crap games.

well north texas and idaho are both BCS non AQ teams and they are not getting a return game.

you do realize the difference between BCS AQ, non AQ, and FCS right?

Idaho and UNT are FBS teams.

Towson game is very odd. I thought we were only scheduling FCS teams from Louisiana for now on (to keep the money in state)

My guess, as stated before, is that we tried and could not get anyone worth a damn to make the trip.

Night games must be added. That was completely absurd this year.

Georgia has another easy schedule!

Arkansas confirms the LSU matchup will remain in Little Rock. Older stadium with smaller seating capacity - only upside for them is they expect a bigger Friday crowd in Little Rock than in Fayetteville.

Guess the moonshine have to be cleaned on Friday.
