I was talking about the shortage of offensive lineman LSU had in 2005 and 2006 due to the failure to recruit OL when Saban was at LSU

I'm not an expert on LSU OL's but I can see on Rivals where Saban had recruited 11 OL's in 02',03', and 04'. 11 in 3 yrs is a good # so I don't know what the problem was. As for this year we are weak at LT. We had JUCO die on us and another 5* freshman with an ACL injury. I don't think you can blame Saban for that. As for the rest of OL I think we are pretty deep.

I think its silly to say Les is a better recruiter or developer of talent than Saban.

Likewise, it's just as silly to say Saban is a better recruiter and talent developer than Miles.

So, Les is a better coach because he's winning with lesser talent? Which is it? You really have to pick a side man!

When did you stop beating your wife?

IMO, CLM should be considered a better coach if he wins the BCSNC. Not because he won in OT Nov5. He is 3-2 vs CNS. Best record as far as I know while CNS at Bama but doesn't mean he's a better coach yet. Last 4yrs CNS is 47-6 and CLM is 41-11. Which is better?

To say better would be splitting hairs but I do think CLM has an advantage due to not having another major program in the state to compete against. You get all the LA recruits no question like Mack Brown does in TX. Pretty easy to recruit there.

It's not as easy as people think when there are other schools with outstanding recruiters after our Louisiana talent.

AJ sucks pretty hard so that does not say much for Phil Sims. Our current quarterbacks are good enough to whip your arse and also everyone else on our schedule. Our SOS, in case you haven't noticed, was the toughest in the country.

Stop with the SOS stuff. You played Oregon. BFD. The rest is equal to ours. Almost identical SEC schedule. Then we played PSU, you played WVa.

If you say AJ sucks then what do you call JJ and JL? Your passing game is 105th out of 120. AJ is not the greatest 1st year starter but we do rank in the 70's on passing yards.

id say hes good at recruiting. but id say its the other side of the coin with getting players to produce on offense, which is basically the side of the ball ha has his hands in. especially at quarterback. wouldnt surprise me to see gunner kiel transfer or ride the bench becuase miles landed jeffersons brother or something of that nature. dude just has the wrong idea at quarterback. can you imagine this team with great qb play? my god

of course, you're a bama fan. he's an lsu fan. you both think you have the better coach.

They are both fabulous coaches. That is a fact.

I will say this as my opinion. There hasn't been a better coach at evaluating talent the last two years than les. While his classes haven't been ranked #1, he has the most talented team in the country. This is a result of great talent evaluations when it comes to brockers, logan, T.m., Mo, hurst, copeland, simon, minter, jones, baker, williford, lavar edwards, p.j. ect.

It helps when you are playing for a national championship every 4 years. Kinda of sells itself, but Miles is as good as any.

Miles is starting to sound like the Chuck Norris of recruiting.

Chuck Norris was going to fight Les Miles, but two hours later Chuck had signed with LSU to play LB and stated publicly "that he had lost the want to fight a damn strong football coach."

The SOS is real dumbass. We also went to #2 team on the road and won or have you erased that from memory. After Nov5 Bama didnt play one team with a winning record. Period. We beat #3 and beat a ranked Uga on basically a road game. Our schedule was far harder than yours. Your hardest ges were at home while our hardest games were on the road. Face facts dumbass. Everyone is rating LSU's schedule as hard. But I guess you're right

If I recall Saban did have a #1 recruiting class at LSU. Miles hasn't done that yet so I don't think you can call Saban's efforts there nothing. And Bama has been #1 recruiting 3 of last 4 years.

If I recall correctly, Rivals is owned by a Bama grad...and when a player commits to Bama he automatically gets and additional star or 2.

I didn't say it was an easy schedule. I'm just saying the only diff to ours was the Oregon game. Ok, throw in UGA if it makes you feel better. The rest is equal to ours. We played the same SEC schedule and we are #1 in total offense and total defense. LSU is #4 in offense and #2 in total defense. Get off this SOS shite. Its not a defining stat over Bama.
