Keeper League Opinions

Alright before everyone abandons this board, I want some opinions on the best way to do a keeper league.
Right now I'm thinking we will keep 2 players max and then start the draft with last place picking first etc. Also thinking about setting a 2 year limit on players.
What has been the most successful for some of y'all?
ETA. Do y'all like keeper or the standard format more?

We keep one player that was drafted from the 6th round on and use a random number generator in order to select drafting order.

Dear god yes, I'm in another league where they set it up to keep 3 players for an indefinite amount of time, and its the worst fricking league ever.
I've been lobbying for them to bump it down to 2 years, with a contract extension buy in for another year @ $50/player but nobody wants to hear it. This is my last year in it.

Yeah I don't think being able to keep a player for eternity is the best system. I do like the idea of paying x amount to keep them another year tho.
