It's just something a few random NPC's say when you talk to them. they just say "I used to be an adventurer like you, but then i took an arrow to the knee."

And it's repeated over and over and over, apparently. I actually heard it for the first time the other day and lol'd hard. I usually don't pay attention to the NPC's.
