I was putting clothes in the dryer, and my son comes up and I say "Hey, you know the Saints are playing tomorrow?"

"The Saints are playing tomorrow? Okay."

"The Saints are daddy's favorite team."

"The Saints are Tully's favorite team too."

He's only a couple of month over 3, and he's never shown interest in sports before. When he said that, it dawned on me that he was gonna be a who dat. It made me so happy, I seriously almost started crying. I love that guy.

I'm glad you had that moment with your son I'm just pointing out that this is probably what these guys get pissed about. Not that it should matter

Well I know there's other fathers on this board, so I figured people could relate. Whodatfan get's pseudo-pissed about everything.

But at least there's some life in here, right?
It seems like the Saints talk dies a little more each day.

I'm a saints/lsu fan. But I think I'll raise my kids as Michigan/Alabama/Falcon fans. I just don't want them to have to grow up with the heartache I suffered, and let them cheer for winners.

Due unfortunate circumstances, it seems that I will never be able to have a son to cheer for the Saints on Sundays with but I do have a 6 year daughter.

It must have made you feel like a proud poppa to hear those words come out of your son's mouth. I know the feeling. My daughter started watching the games with me during the '09 season & she loves the Saints now. After the end of the Tampa game this season she said she hates when the Saints loses. So I know how you feel you feel because hearing her say that almost brought tears to my eyes. I knew then & there that she had become a diehard.

The next generation of diehards are our little ones. It's nice to know they don't have to be broken in like were & that they get to see the franchise as being a winner.

Here's to Patrick O Rly & everyone on Saints Talk who already has a future diehard in their household.

Of course he's a Saints fan. He only had to wait a year for them to win a Super Bowl.
