Got this for Christmas and for a beginning guitar player I have to say....I'm hooked!!!
I got my electric guitar last Christmas and have been gradually learning stuff but I see this game helping me make some major headway. Anyone else have it?

I got it. I played guitar on and off for a while so most of the intro stuff is really easy but I'm already being challenged by a few songs, mostly because the interface is hard to get used to. I love the game though.

i have it and it's pretty good. will definitely help you advance past the beginning phase. although i don't know how detailed it will get when you get better. meaning, i don't know if it will help you become the next eddie van halen.

One thing that reall helped me out with the interface. My bro in law who actually is freaking good on guitar flipped the interface so that the low E is on the bottom like tab instead of on top that's default. Can't believe I didnt think to check to see if it could be changed earlier. But it really made the interface easier to read faster

Anyone figure out how to get rid of that little bit of lag? It would make the game about damn near perfect with that.

I haven't gotten it yet, but I read that there is no lag if you run the audio directly through a receiver.

in the options menu there is a slider that you can adjust to correct screen lag. the default is "50" and the lower the number you adjust it to, the less lag correction there is. i found my sweet spot to be about 25.

Awesome, I'll try that out. There is not quite a full second of lag, but definitely noticeable.
I have to say I'm really excited about getting more into this game. I never thought it would be is in depth and responsive. The lag is the only bad thing but that seems to be fixable.

I played free bird but I'm not good enough to play it like should be played. But it sounded legit. The three days grace DLC was cool too.
