Wonder what their usual rates are, like $129? I blame the Gumps for bringing too many fans, followed by the Steelers for not knocking the 49ers out of the #2 seed last week.

yes but for those like myself who can't stay more than 2 nights due to kids/obligations/etc it's better than booking cheaper somewhere for 3 mights and not staying the frist night. also there isn't much avail that i can find now ... nto that it mattes for me.

I wouldnt pay that much for a hotel. I used the WALMART code to stay for $79 on 1.7.12, 1.8.12, and 1.9.12 at Marriott in New Orleans.

No reason why a 3 day hotel stay should cost as much as a game ticket.

Supply and demand. Lots of hotels are worth that much on a big game weekend. Just not this one.

What the hell is the WALMART code and if by chance serious, how did you find out about that?

the walmart code is what they gave me when I worked at walmart in the employee manual. About nearly every hotel has a code you plug in and save 75% off a room. When the rooms are regular price, you can stay as cheap as $28.00 at Marriott.

I don't have an apartment 500 yards from the Superdome. I win.

Actually that is a very good location, I work on Poydras and can see it from my window. You are next to the Bonton which has excellent food, and 100 yards from mothers.

I work on Poydras and I ate at the Bon Ton yesterday for lunch..great food!

Folks, the hotels will open up more as the game gets closer. Happened in 2008 also.

Crazy! I booked on Hotwire back in August because I thought LSU had a great shot at making it and we got the Marriott on Canal for $125.00 per night. What a great deal. I have seen places I would not even consider staying at for free charging over $300 a night.

Not a bad place. I stayed there for the NFC Championship game two years ago for $69.00. Checked on staying there the next fall and it was $185 a night.
