Has any other State combo (flagship NCAA school/NFL team)ever done this in the same year?

I think USC and the Raiders did it in the 70s.

Boston had the Patriots, Bruins, Red Sox and Celtics all win in a short period of time as well as Matt Ryan at Boston College at that time

Its rare as hell to have a dominant college and pro team so close to each other. I was thinking about this a few days ago. IF the Saints win a SB this year and WHEN LSU beats Alabama for like the 47437th time in a row on Jan. 9Th, they will have a combined 5 World/National Championships, and 7 NFL NFC South/SEC Championships over the last decade. I defy any state to show the same results from their NFL and Main Collegiate football teams in the same period, ever.

Off the top of my head, the Cowboys and Longhorns got close in 1970 (Texas) and 1971 (Cowboys)

Saints WILL win the Superbowl, LSU WILL win the NC in football, Hornets look good early and I'd love to see them go strong without CP3, LSU basketball looks to finish strong...both men and women (have you seen those girls play?!), and LSU baseball, albeit premature, looks to be nice.
