Todd McShay once thought Jevan Sneed was the top overall NFL QB prospect.

But FWIW I do think Mo is a legit top overal CB.

I love how he has moved himself into the top 10! He was not even considered a top 20 player when the season started. He was more of a late 1st - early 2nd rounder.

They drafted Smith three years ago, now he's playing RT. They drafted Roger Saffold two years ago, now he's playing LT. Unfortunately both are on IR right now and both kind of suck.

This is my theory.

Lets say Payton gets good news in the next few months that makes them believe he'll come back healthy next year.

Because of that, ownership decides to focus on other aspects they need to draft. If Payton is able to play next year, they will need help on the O line and their secondary. Which makes me believe that the chances of them drafting either Kalil or Claiborne are still good. Their O line is really bad this year, but they drafted Costanzo in the 1st round last year. Both of their corner-backs(Lacy and Powers) have under performed and given up many big plays this year.

This is all contingent on Manning's recovery, but I just think that Mo has a slight chance of being the 1st pick in the draft. IMO Luck is a tad over-rated from all the media love

Crazy logic... If the colts believe in peyton, they will trade the first pick to someone else for their draft.

Never happen. Even if Colts decided against Luck they would trade down with another team who wants him. Either way, Luck is still #1. Colts get more than 1 first round pick, could take Mo and someone.

Forgot about that. Guess I was just hoping for Mo to be the first pick

If this sticks, LSU will have had 4 top 5 picks in the last 5 years.

1- Russell
5- Dorsey
3- T. Jackson
3- Claiborne

Wasnt he regarded as the top CB in the nation prior to the season? why wouldnt that rate as a top 20 player?

If they blew it, they still need a LT, youi can't just pass on certain important positions cause you drafted someone at the position that didn't pan out.

Most preseason lists had him as the #2 or 3 CB prospect behind Dre and the Kennard kid from Nebraska, and getting drafted late first round.
