Lorenzo Phillips not on 3A All State Team

Noticed that Phillips didn't make 3A All State Team.However,Tremaine Lightfoot of Patterson made the team at LB.Lightfoot is commit of ULL.Interesting to say the least.In fact,Phillips didn't even make honorable mention.

Thats not really important , i remember a linebacker from Rummel in 2010 was All-State and possibly Defensice MVP but he had no offers from any school.

Yea i was a first team consensus academic all state through all 5 classes and i didnt even get a letter from a school

All-state teams are not recruiting lists. It is not uncommon for an undersized player who is not a college prospect to outperform a big recruit at the high school level. Doesn't mean anything.

never wanted to say much,but he's not that good. Lightfoot is the real deal,but very low ACT score.Lorenzo better make up his mind are get left in the cold

The couple of Patterson games I watched I wasn't that impressed by Philips. Not that that means alot, I was just expecting him to standout more.

FWIW someone close to the Patterson program would roll his eyes every time that I would ask about Phillips. Said that some of the players started believing their own recruiting hype and that the coaches had to have sit downs with the players to discuss their efforts. Also said that Lightfoot was hands down the best linebacker and defensive player on the team.

You automatically get honorable mention if you are nominated. So if he isn't on there either, obviously he wasn't nominated.

I have heard he is a very good athlete, but average football player. He test very well at camps, but Lightfoot is the better player on the field.
