Oh really? Have you read through this thread? You folks seem terrified to play Bama again, and anyone with a pulse can see why. You want to play OSU because you know you would dismantle them, and easily hoist that crystal ball. You can debate around that point all you want, but you all know it's the truth, and I would feel the exact same way if Bama won in Nov. You all know who the true #2 team is, just like the poll voters, or should I assume that the coaches are spoon fed by ESPN too?

OSU is like Oregon, you don't want them to get going on offense, they will wear you out.. and beat you badly...

I think Alabama is better, but I think OSU deserves the spot in the MNC game, because LSU and Alabama played head to head and LSU came out of the SEC as champion.. pretty clean for me who should be in the game.

All I care about is LSU making sure Alabama understands they aren't #1 this year...

It's been a challenging year all year, LSU is up to the finish...they win by at least 10

LSU has more depth, and has much better special teams

I have no doubt that Bama is the number 2 team...but this just shows how screwed up the system is when we already beat them at home and we are also undisputed SEC champions...Bama is a part of the SEC, so to me it seems we are already the champions of them in 2ways this year. Playing somebody like OSU would make the game more national.

First, I think Bama is better than OSU, and I look forward to the chance to beating them once again. They made it, good job, okay.

But Saban's analogy is fatally flawed. It may have been mentioned in the 12+ pages prior, but I've always been told that "every game counts" in the BCS. That the regular season meant something, and that's what made college football different...and special.

College basketball is different, and it is agreed that if you get in the tourney and win it, it doesn't matter what happened in January. Both systems are fine, but completely different.

Saban could have improved his analogy if he had compared Kentucky beating NC in overtime in the Sweet 16, then going on to win two more while NC watched from home, only to be deemed "worthy" to face KY again in the finals (while telling Syracuse "sorry, we know you won your bracket, but you have to go home now".)

Anyway, counting the days. Bring it, Gumps, you're gonna need it. Woo!

Bama > Okie St
meh, depends on the perspective.

If Bama were to beat LSU (not happening, but we'll play what if), we'd likely have a split title.

If OSU beat LSU, OSU would be the undisputed Nat'l Champion.

From that perspective, OSU should be our opponent . . . winner-take-all.

yep, but with the schedule LSU has played this year, they shouldn't have to prove themselves anymore, just hand them the title, they've earned it!

What sticks in the craws of the gumps is this is gonna look ALOT worse on them getting beat 2x this year.

If LSU loses, it sucks, but most feel have done enough already to be NC. Won't change the outcome of the reg season win at BDS. Won't change the accomplishments and awards earned in this great season, would be the icing on the cake sure, but...

Poor Gumps...what if y'all lose?
