As much as I'd LOVE for him to stay with us to a ripe old age, is it time to start grooming his successor? Take a look at how well things worked out for Aaron Rodgers in GB while "learning" under Favre....Hmmmmm..

Peyton Manning will be Drew's understudy.

Baylen will take over when daddy Drew retires at age 53, shattering all of Blanda's longevity records

If Brees plays that long, he'll have over 100,000 yards and 800 TDs

Has he gotten worse yet?

He's playing his best ball at 32/33. I think we have some time with him.

I don't understand the hate coach payton has for Chase.
Its obvious the team plays better with him but the coach just won't let him play. Chase is almost undefeated as the starter so reason is just not a factor in this coaches thought process.

We would hardly ever lose. DB throws to many int's and there is video of him late nite drunk I'm sure at a bar near Bourbon St getting everyone else drunk and singing drunken sailor songs.

What will it take for coach to see that Chase is his guy?

Chase must be in the dog house for some reason.

Or in academic trouble.

Good lord

Brees is 32, not 37.

too early, these threads while right in the middle of the golden era of Saints football are misplaced.

I think he goes to 37 at bare minimum unless a catastrophic injury derails him. With his conditioning, drive, and desire, 40+ is not an unrealistic possibility.

His successor might be a middle school or JV player/fan right now.

The OP basically.

Rodgers wasn't around in Green Bay until Favre was basically 36.
