I've played the game twice, multiplayer co-op with my brother.
I don't want to play multiplayer anymore as i'm awful, and i've played the GD game 2 whole times. How the hell do you play a season with a certain team in single player. I literally cannot find out how, there are so many game modes and none of them offer the simplest of tasks. Back to Fifa 95 on sega i guess :(

All the better. From what I've gathered from this game, you really don't want to play the single player anyway.

Moved my xbox 3 inches last night and it gashed the frick out of my game and now its unreadable.

I did that. Stop right now. Stop looking up ways to fix it with toothpaste and that crap. Go to blockbuster and ask them if you can pay them to run the game through their cleaner/fixer machine. It rebuffs the surface and takes out the scratch. Some places will even do it for free.

Definitely seems to be made for multiplayer, and 12040092922 other game modes that are rather unnecessary IMO.
Don't want to play online lol, i don't know any of the darned buttons. Finally got a career going that i guess will let me run through the season. I still had to create some player just to get started, which i promptly sold for accuracy.
Took me a good 30 minutes just to get a game going, this has to be the worst single player FIFA game made, and I have every year but '11.

On Semi-pro i can win by as many goals as i want. The defenders are idiots who play terrible lines. It's a joke.
Bump it up to professional, and right now i get completely destroyed. Granded i've only played about 4 whole games, but i get hulk smashed. The difficulty level takes a massive jump.
But this is true of every single FIFA game, always has been.

There is a huge learning curve at first. I play on the default difficulty and have played enough to where I am very competitive with the CPU. I have some fun and entertaining games on there. Just keep plugging away and it will be rewarding after a while.

fricking this. I've broken two controllers when playing games against the computer.
I agree you can score like 6-7 goals in semi but you bump it up and I get beaten. Not badly but like 1-0 or 2-1. Like beaten by Wigan is ridiculous. I don't consider myself great but I'm not terrible either but this game sucks. Still pissed that my Xbox shredded it

I still get beaten but started being a lot less aggressive and waiting for the attacker to "show" the ball more then attacking the ball and have had a lot more success. I avoid trying to control a back line guy at all costs though. Usually take control of a CM when on D.

second year of a new career as a Striker and I transferred to Valencia as a reserve player. Ended up starting every game (because this game can't figure out how to make you a sub apparently) and finished with 17 goals- 4th in the league.
Released because I didn't elevate myself to 'squad player'.
Why in the hell can't EA figure out how to make these modes mildly realistic? It's just so silly that every year these games come out with baffling frick ups.
Anyways, I signed with Barcelona after that as a starting player. Sigh

The computers aren't that hard... I usually go back and forth on legendary, winning by 1-2 or losing by 1.
If you cant keep the ball away from the computer you're going to lose. They usually posses it 60% of the time. I try to keep it 50-50.
