TM7 ripping the ball and scoring in the Oregon game. It set the tone for 2011.

Excellent post.

For me, the most memorable was the one that I hollered the loudest for - HB7's return in the Arkansas game. We had to wait until the end of the season for him to finally break one loose and it couldn't have come at a better time.

Also, I really like your story and am curious how you ended up at LSU. Can you elaborate a bit?

I really enjoyed reading your post, LAtiger. May I make one small suggestion though?

Bama does not deserve to be spelled in all caps.

I have some family that lives in Baton Rouge (also a NY transplant to LSU and he stayed here). When I down here for a vacation my junior year of high school, I took a tour of campus and as in awe ... and then the next day was opening day of football season and of course I got to go to the game. Then the next year when I was still deciding what school to go to, I went to audition for the school of music and got rejected. However they offered me a scholarship for out of state non-music majors who play in tiger band (of course I was going to do that anyway) which covered full tuition. Unfortunately they don't offer that scholarship to incoming freshmen anymore because of the budget cuts. That pretty much sealed the deal.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts from the NSU game. Great story.

can't believe this hasn't been mentioned- when Drew Alleman "silenced" BDS epic.

TM7 swinging momentum in both the arky and UGA games with big PR6's

same here, brother. playing it and having the crowd that silent, then hearing their roaring applause morph into USA chants. i'll keep that memory with me to the grave.

That was such a fun weekend and I had a lot of great stories to come back to L.A. with including an almost altercation with a former quack football player, who was offended when, after he and his buddies did one of their Zerogon cheers, I said it was gayest shite I had ever heard. He then started to try to rip the SEC and LSU. While our discussion was getting heated, he patted me on my chest. In my drunken state I got in his face and told him "If you fricking do it again I will fricking kick your fricking duck arse into the fricking street and even though you are fricking bigger than me I am fricking meaner than you will ever fricking be." He backed away. Man, was I drunk.

Well, I don't get drunk very often. Living out here in PAC country is most tiring. The ducks are the johnny-come-lately team that now thinks they invented the game and were the originators of all great traditions with their stadium being the greatest, most intimidating place known to mankind. I have really tired of them and looked forward to the game against them because I knew we were going to kick their feathery asses.

I am damn proud that you are a part of the greatest college marching band. I cherish the memories of my years in Tiger Band and am so touched by what you shared.

That means a lot. Thank you for your years in tiger band and paving the way for the rest of us.

It was just really cool being on the field for that moment. I'm not gonna lie ... I was expecting to have the feeling of "ok they saw it on tv and know what happened but I was THERE." But that didn't happen. I don't think I've ever felt more patriotic in my life. The silence during Amazning Grace followed by the roar afterwords almost made me tear up on the field. I definitely missed 2 or 3 notes just because I got so caught up in the moment.

I have enjoyed reading all of the comments. Thanks for posting.

For me it has to include the Wing story. Living in Florida, sitting at a restaurant watching that game had to be my greatest moment. Watching everyones jaw drop as he swaggered into the endzone was pure golden. I don't recall any other punter in school history. I don't think he will be forgotten any time soon.

When our kicker put up his finger as if to "quiet" the Bama crowd after kicking the winning field goal in overtime. And then Wing jumping all over him!!

Best moments of the football season

Alabama Game is a solid WIN. I got to Watch it in Pusser's Bar on Tortola. There was an Oklahoma Fan and an Oregon fan sitting at the table next to us. AND- A Boise State fan in the bar too.

The Boise fan was scoffing at the lack of offense and I told him Boise would have (-65)yards at the half with no first downs against either LSU/Bama... He locked up pretty quickly.

Being Down 14 against Arkansas and listening to the taunts...Then cold rolling through AR-Kansas for the rest of the game...Nothing completes a victory better than the bitter tears of the vanquished.
