If i'm looking at it correctly, we won't play them if we are 2 or 3 seed until after they would have to get past GB.

1 seed would play 5 seed if 5 beats 4 seed.
3 seed plays 6 seed, then would play 2 seed.

This made my day. Little bit of nervousness in NOLA about my birds?! Maybe... just a lil?

Division rivals are always trivial come post season having to play a team for a third time in a year and home field advantage usually means a little bit less.

ETA: Plus, I think Falcons have a "BIT" better shot to maybe upset the Packers and take care of the dirty work and then we'd wax your arse in the dome when we have the 2 seed.

I just woulda been happy with a "yes". (half sarcasm)

ETA: Eh, in all seriousness and being objective... the falcons CAN be dangerous but if you look at their past 5+ games, they've won against teams that are sub .500 and lost to the teams that are above .500 (Texans and Saints).

I'm not getting too high off of a beatdown against the Jags... but ... with ATL's history - this is the type of game we used to blow/play down to the level of our competition.

To put it in context, it's similar to the transition from Shula years at 'Bama and Saban years at 'Bama.

It was a good performance no doubt. It's nice to get those type of wins where you just sit back and enjoy not being nervous your team is gonna screw up.

Its very, very difficult to beat a good team 3 times in a row, in the same season. I wouldn't want to have to do that.

Shades of 91-92 season (?).

I saw highlights of that playoff game the other day. Wasted our 1st division championship.

Falcons would get destroyed in gb
We need the the low seed to be able to lose at san Fran and the giants to win as 4 seed so we get to play niners at home while Eli gets his shot at lambeau

The 1 seed is going to play the lowest seeded team alive after the first round. The 2 seed plays the other. So the Falcons, as the 5, technically could play the 2 in the 2nd round.

Says you.

I say my birds just might very well do this to you!

(I just wanted to post this from last night because I found it hilarious! Turner throwing his own WR for a blocker.)

It's awesome when that happens.. Ingram did that to a Saints WR earlier this year, I think it was Meachem or Henderson.

It's really not that impressive. The dude was already in the air so all his did was guide his momentum forward. I could do the same thing to Turner's fat arse.
