Riverwalk Cantina Salsa

I saw this at a grocer today and decided to give it a shot. It was dirt cheap...will it ruin my chips or is it edible?

This sheet's nasty. It's like ketchup with stuff suspended in it...almost more like plain ketchup. Even with the under ripe avacado, cilantro and lime, it still sucks.

Update:

Be it warned, under no circumstance should anyone on the F&D board ever purchase or consume this product.

I've just ruined chips, some cilantro leaves, avocado and a half a lime with this stuff.

If it's anything like the quality of food you get at restaurants on the actual river walk in San Antone, it's bound to be shite.

I tried some Tommy's Salsa this weekend. The owner was in the store giving out samples. I liked the pineapple salsa the best. They are based out of Austin.

I'd opt for the corn and black bean.

Tell Tommy the branding/labels needs some serious work.

My personal favorite is Mrs. Renfro's:

The verde salsa was pretty solid as well and I would suspect would be pretty good served over enchiladas.

Native Texan is still my favorite salse. Their peach solid is awesome.

If you want some salsa that will torch your o-ring, stop by Buc-ee's and get their habanero salsa. Burns on both ends.

I do not like that particular salsa.

Like their salsa verde and chow chow, though.

Not a fan of Tommy holding his big fat cob?

My favorite is the chipotle-raspberry. Never had the mango-habanero, was just the first pic I found.

I feel cheated. In the store Tommy did not have his sombrero nor did he have any gigantic produce.

Oh, word. Mango-habanero is mediocre, at best, if you ever get the urge.
