Are you serious? He nearly cost ous this ball game. This would have been talked about as the Jason Garrett move of the week. You have to run the ball on 3rd down and Tennessee has no t/o. That would have left less than a minute. Horrible decision!

did you see how fast this team got in scoring position? He tried to end the game. No lead is safe with this d.

He left it in the hands of one of the top players in the league. Drew made the decision to throw it to Ivory when he had a dumpoff over the middle that would have kept the clock running.

Not a bad call by SP. It's football. If Drew does the smart thing and eats it or dumps it off, we aren't talking about this.

yeah but on 3rd when the other team has no timeouts you take over half their time off the clock EVERY SINGLE TIME

You guys are wrong! If the Saints had lost this would have been all on Payton. You make that rookie QB go 80 yards in under a minute with no t/o. I am happy we won, but that was poor coaching. The guy thinks we should pass every down. Sometimes it is ok to run!

He could have also re-kicked it after their 12 man penalty. That would have taken up another 10 seconds if Moorestead keeps it in bounds. We pin them inside the 20.

Yes, it was a bad decision. The problem with the call is that the league by now is on to him. They know he's going to try to get cute.

SHould have run on 3rd.....and should have rekicked the ball......both those plays would have left the Titans with less than 1 minute and 80 yards to go.

Yeah "if" he did it again, he made a great punt and pinned them. They had been putting pressure on morestead all day, if he kicks again and it gets blocked or he shanks one its not worth the 10 seconds, which would have been more like 5 if there was a fair catch.

We won, correct. But the game was horribly executed in the final 2 minutes, the refs sucked, and our defense can't stop anyone between the 20's. Other than that, it was fun.

Bad decision, but it worked out in the end I guess. I'm just glad to get out of there with the win. Thanks to the refs for fricking Brees and Graham and my fantasy team out of that TD

Payton made a boneheaded call to pass on 3rd down. Anybody who defends that call is mentally challenged.

Why is anyone surprised? Payton does this all the time. He loves to pass the ball. Just the way it is.

Newsflash guys, the NFL is a passing league. While I agree you have to run, I also believe that you try to win the game and do what your team does best. If that is to put the ball in #9 hands and tell him to make a play than so be it. We can beat this shite up all night but guess what, the Saints won which gave them 10 wins and a playoff spot

We all know that we won...that does not mean that we can't have some questions about the way the team played...that is the whole point of sites like this.

Running the ball on third down was the best way to try to win the game.
