The Truth about the JL / Miles / JJ saga...

While the situation has been discussed, bitched, whined and complained about on here ad nauseam there has never been a conclusive explanation for the events that have transpired.
I believe I have recently come across some information that helps explain it all, and this is it in a nutshell... JL is hurt.
So, we all remember the "game of the century" when JL takes a questionably late hit right on the chin from an Alabama player, right? You know, the kind LSU used to do early in the games when Nick was here to intentionally knock the opposing QB out of the game. Well, it happened - again - and it worked. If you recall, the next series JL went back in to the game he promptly threw another interception into triple coverage to a receiver that was never open.... completely uncharacteristic for how his year has gone.
Since that hit, he's not there mentally. He hasn't snapped out of it - even days afterwards. Sleeping late, missing class. Just has not mentally checked back into his body. Which is why you haven't seen him actually PLAY in games. You see him on the field in victory formation, but he isn't PLAYING. Miles isn't disrespecting him, he's trying to protect him and respect him in the best way he can - putting him on the field in the only capacity he can.
It's all very frustrating as an LSU fan and watching this kid suffer as a freshman and then rise to stardom as a senior only to be benched for the guy who has never really reached his potential; or worse, has, and not truly understand the reason. Well, the reason is this - Miles isn't telling people he's hurt because he doesn't disclose injuries. If he doesn't do it for his Safety, he sure won't do it for the QB.
In the meantime Miles will take the abuse for favoring JJ over JL in favor of not disclosing this information. Ideally, given the additional time to heal and let his body/mind gather itself JL will hopefully be fine for the BCSNCG. We may not see him on the field again despite a full recovery, but it is at least good to know the reason Miles is making the decisions that he's making.

Or we could just use logic and deduct the reasoning for what has happened.
Posted on 12/11/11 at 10:37 am to josh336
or the coaches think JJ gives the team a better chance at victory

Keep dreaming.
Or.... perhaps the coach just firmly believes JJ is the better QB.... end story.

If you're right, then who goes into the game against Bama if JJ gets injured?

Some of you people are dense. None of that is my opinion.

How does Les Miles "covering" a injury for Jarret Lee protect him?
Your guess is wrong. If true, Les Miles would have caused infinitely more problems with the way this has been handled than if he would have just said, "Lee is hurt".

I'm not worried about Miles "favoring" one player over another, I would just rather him come out and say this is why the guy isn't playing. What's up with all the word games and riddles?

Zach, from what I was told they're hoping that the 4-5 weeks off gives him time to recollect his faculties. IDK.
I did ask about Mett though and got an interesting response. But I'm not throwing those pearls to these swine.

you realize they ran him on some option plays vs. WKU? and he got hit on those. why expose him to further injury like that if he's hurt?

That is consistent to head trauma. Not sure if this theory is true or not but it is plausible explanation. If so I really feel for all parties. This is the main reason I havent jumped to any conclusions or jumped to judgement with out facts.

Les has got big shoulders. I guess you missed the point of my post.

Why in the world is this still a topic of discusssion? LSU is still winning in spite of our QB play.
Les is our Coach, Coach-of-the-Year, he has made his decision and we will win or loose based on his decision.
One more game and this sage will be irrelevant. GIVE IT A REST!!!!!!!! Nothing more can be said that hasn't been said.

where does the source of this truth stem from then?

I've never seen anyone be accused of racism for criticizing JJ. I'm not sure where y'all are getting that from.
