Just wondering why the Tigers started so lackluster the last two games. HB7 really turned things around to get the team motivated, but hopefully we'll start with more fire against Bama Jan. 9th.

They might have been looking ahead, but doubt that matters in January.

I hope they don't go into Jan 9 looking forward to Spring Break.

The slow start in those games was because we couldn't throw the football. Even if a defense isn't very good, if they outnumber you in the first half, they will stop the run. I don't expect much difference against AL.

Field position sucked. When you are pinned back deep....

I think you should go double check the passing stats from the Arkansas game in the first half. Sometimes teams get outplayed for a quarter or 2 especially when looking ahead. We'll be fine for the championship game.

When a dominant team loses, it's usually at the back end

Looking ahead when they played ARK?

Add WKY to that list. However, I understand that game considering it was the week after AL.

ARK and GA - not so much with all that was on the line.

We won but if we slow start like that again = probably a loss.

Interestingly enough slow starts in 3 of the last 4 games. Maybe there is a common denomiator?

When your #1 you get everyone's best shot. We won't start slow against Alabama. Impossible to do so.

I'll say what no one else wants to say. It is Jordan Jefferson. He cannot throw the ball effectively, so we come out completely one dimensional. He does what he did last year, which is hand it off for a run up the middle for 2 yards, tries to pass on 2nd and 8 and it is in the dirt, and then we are in a 3rd and 8 and they blitz everyone and he either throws short or gets sacked or throws it away. Jefferson has done that several times at the beginning of the past few games and we start slow. Later, he picks it up and we start to click on offense, but we are completely one dimensional to start.

Really, the biggest problem, in my opinion, is that we are not getting enough yardage on first down. Look at Spencer Ware's rushing stats in the first half. Very poor. If we could start with better situations on 2nd and 3rd down, we would put JJ in better shape to move the sticks.

For some reason, we have been coming out REAL predictable in the first quarter and then we hope that JJ can make the play on 3rd down. When he can't, we have to punt.

Am I wrong here?

No! But you are not allowed to say it because that makes you a racist. You should know better. Shame on you.

Another spot on quote!

Too bad we dont have a qb who has proven he can complete a first down play action pass! Imagine that novel idea a power running team who occasionally threw and completed a first down play action pass!

Oh wait we do have a qb who has proven he can do that he just isnt allowed to play anymore!

Hey, I loved Rohan Davey so that proves I'm not a racist!

I'm really not. I want nothing for the best for JJ. I think that, overall, he provides more than Lee, even though I have been a good fan of Lee. I just think that the offense is better off when we see both.

When Lee was starting, we were starting games with 21 point leads, coming out on fire. Since JJ has been starting, we are behind 14-0 and 10-0 with no first downs in the first half against Georgia. What concerned me is that Miles refused to pull the trigger on him and put Lee in at any point in the first half. Because there is no longer a rotation between the two, you know that he will only pull JJ if he has lost confidence in him, and if 18 yards and no first downs in the first half is not a cause to lose confidence, I don't know what is.

If TM7 doesn't light a spark, I don't know what happens in those games.

Ala Tiger despite the fact that you were a Rohan fan and probably a Herb Tyler fan and maybe even a JaMarcus Russell fan and despite the fact that made a logical factual argument you still will be called a racist!

Do not cast dispersions on JJ whether they be true or not is irrelevent!
