SEC Champ game 2005. Did you look this up before posting it as a "trivia question?"

The last time LSU lost on turf was the last time LSU lost.

Arkansas 2010.

I have to really dig out the way-back machine to find the last time we lost indoors, though.

I think we lost at Tulane in 1981 or 1982, but I can't think of another indoor loss since then.

Well like I said they lost to Arkansas last year which is an artificial surface. Nice try though

Forgot about the SEC CG in 2005. Must have been selective amnesia.

is it not the GA Dome in 2005 also?

I know we lost in a couple of Sugar bowls -- 84 and 86 seaons maybe (after the Fulane losses you painfully bring up).

Those sucked - attended both of those *ss-rapings by Nebraska.

It's a shame Arnsparger didn't seem to care much for bowls.

Miserable *ss kickings.

A more challenging question might be:

When was the first time LSU played on artificial turf?

I think it was in Birmingham at Legion Field against Alabama in 1970 ... a game in which they beat the Tide 14-9.

The first loss on turf?

2 years later in another "game of the century." LSU and Alabama were both unbeaten in 1972. LSU lost to Terry Davis and Bama, 35-21. The game was played at Legion Field as well.
