I don't think PP should be short changing the offense of players coming to lsu as well. Give us props on both sides of the ball! Not to mention the special team of players.

I don't claim to know anything about the unduly complex NCAA recruiting rules; so, can someone tell me about the rules for pro players essentially advertising for a school? I'm guessing this doesn't matter or it would have been discussed, and I am not saying it should matter.
But I mean, if they have rules banning cream cheese accompanying a bagel as an extra benefit...

i think they cant directly contact a recruit, but who is to stop them on saying where they went and having some pride for it. Hell, the U would be wiped off the map if this was illegal

There is nothing wrong for a former player to suggest, broadly, that there's no better school for player to consider - he's saying this to everybody. Now, if he gets involved with a specific recruit, for example, if Reggie Bush were on a conference call with Pete Carroll and Joe McKnight during a recruiting visit - THAT would have been a violation of the rules.
But since that didn't happen...

just putting this out there... It can be a daunting task if one were to be even moderately critical on TD.com, I like to give the benefit of the doubt as often as I can and glean what I can benefit from and avoid cherry picking drama and creating controversy...it's just MHO
