Yay me. Debating on whether to mount him or not. I like his width and frame, but the he's kind of lacking in the mass department. What says the OB?

Very nice deer! Congrats!

I would mount him, but that's just me. With all the money I spend on hunting, it's silly for me not to mount a great deer like that!

I think he's wall worthy, absolutely.

I would definitely mount him. I would probably whore myself out for the money if I couldn't afford it.

Depends on what you currently have on the wall and how often do you get mounts done. Euro mount at a minimum...if I had a deer bigger than that already on the wall. If not then I would do a full shoulder mount...and when you say whacked...does this mean with a arrow, or was it a rifle.

Nice buck! Wall hanger for sure. How much does it cost to mount a buck BTW?

There's a place by our camp in Mississippi that will do it for $230 but that's really cheap, most are $400+

Mine was $375

ETA the guy used to charge $350 but went up because he was getting more work than he wanted. And FWIW he said he clears about $100 per mount at $375.

Alright. To answer some of the questions... Killed in Yazoo County, MS, haven't scored it, I'm thinking 130ish. I have 3 deer as good and better than this on the wall, but this one plus those 3 in the house that I'm buying would look good with two on each side of the fireplace. I'm probably going to take this one to the taxidermist and if I kill a better one, I'll replace it and get this one euro mounted.

Shot him with a 444 so the exit hole was as big as one that got whacked with an arrow.

BTW, I get my deer mounted by Woods N Water in Delta City, MS. They are $325 and look awesome.

Qoute: Yazoo County

Damn you lucky bastard,

I hunt in northwest lafayette county. Some good deer but not like the delta.

This one was actually killed in the hills part of the county... But I hunt a little in the Delta also... I'm very blessed to get to hunt a variety of spots.

Nice buck

If you do want to shoulder mount him, then do a Euro mount. Cheaper and still pretty cool

Yeah, I'm doing euro at a minimum. I think it would be a pretty cool looking euro.
