If Frank leaves LSU, Johnson is going to make recruiting the New Orleans area hell for LSU. Not saying LSU won't get most of who they want, but Johnson is going to be a large thorn.

Don't underestimate Curtis Johnson. He was a amazing recruiter at Miami. I doubt he takes anything from LSU but he'll keep other schools out better than you think. He'll mostly clean up guys that could probably get LSU offers but we don't want. I expect Tulane to get a lot better.
And I seriously doubt Wilson leaves for a OC job at Ole Piss. That wouldn't be a promotion for him based on the state of that program. Not to mention the mediocre coaching staff they put together over there.

Gotta give him props for trying.
I actually hope he does well at Tulane. I'd like to see them turn the program around.

Isn't this CJ's first head coaching gig? Tough first job, IMO. I hope he does well...it'd be nice to have another consistenly successful Louisiana program.

I hope Tulane goes 0-1000 the next 100 years or so.

I predict he will get a top notch wide receiver every now and then ala Roydell Williams (or whatever his name is).

Yes he was an amazing recruiter..... at Miami. That would be the key to that sentence. Recruiting kids to South Beach in Da U's prime isn't quite as hard as recruiting for Tulane.

tulane got 2-3 people lsu wanted...when lsu was going 3-8 and Tulane had Trooper Taylor buying them SUVs. I think we'll live.

Used to date a girl from Monroe who's dad was a big Tulane "donor". In the 80's, Tulane recruits were treated like rock stars.
Someone mentioned Curtis in a thread here last week.

If Tulane gets a top ten player in the state that we offer, I'll shave a T into my sack and parade around New Orleans screaming Hullabaloo!

LSU fans are unbelievable sometimes. Anybody that follows recruiting knows Johnson is not referring to LSU caliber players. Louisiana is loaded and all Tulane needs are the second tier guys and they will kick butt. LSU can't and won't sign alot of of good 2 star kids in Louisiana.

What do you expect him to say?
"I'm happy taking LSU's scraps"

Curtis Johnson is the original Frank Wilson.
He'll keep some good players home.
