Thoughts?
I personally thought Across the Universe was pretty good and would be interested to see how they would do it with the Grateful Dead music.

I really enjoyed Across the Universe. That chink lesbian singing "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" still haunts me.

I love Across The Universe and think this could be great. However the Grateful Dead don't have NEARLY as many mainstream, upbeat, well-known songs as the Beatles so the casual music fan might not enjoy that much. It might be very slow moving as well.
ETA:
Also, The BEatles are very lyric oriented music while the Dead are much less so.

That was crazy intense.
What made that movie great was there was a legitimate storyline to go along with each song and the songs actually made sense where they were.
It be intresting to see if they can do that in this one.

Zeppelin and the Stones for sure.
Other than that I'm not sure. Maybe the Allman Brothers, The Band, The Who, and a few others.
And DEFINITELY better have New, New Minglewood Blues in there.

Yeah it would deffinitly have to be somebody with some range in the type of music they created. Thats why it worked so well with the Beatles because tey had so many songs that were completely unique from their other tracks. That creates a better story
Thats how this movie can go bad. If its just one big acid trip the whole time then it wont be successful
Alright now I have to watch Across the Universe. Look what yall have done
