...or because our team put him in position to make easy FG's?

Alleman made FG's of 19, 30, and 25 yards.
Bama made FG's of 34 and 46, missed from 44, 50, 52, and had a 49 yarder blocked.

During the LSU-Bama game, Bama attempted 5 FG's 44 yards or longer and went 1/5. Alleman has attempted 1 FG longer than 44 yards all season and missed.

Just tired about how Bama was better everywhere but the kicking game, very few CFB teams have kickers who can consistently make 50 yard FG's. Next time get closer.

Sorry if Germans btw, just got into an argument on another message board about this...

we didn't lose b/c of our kicker - we lost b/c our offense got diarrhea around the 30 yd line and decided to keep backing up.

Shouldn't happen again!

LSU beat Bama because our Special Teams as a whole is better. Regardless of what anyone else says, there are 3 phases of football. We were evenly matched in offense and defense, but our ST was better on Nov.5th.

Plain and simple truth.

Dead balls accurate.

And Gump, it won't happen again. I seriously doubt Houston will be able to manhandle your offense in the Sugar Bowl like we did.

Saban made the decision to kick for a field goal instead of punting. It's been a poor coaching decision and Saban has gotten a pass because of his reputation as a good coach.

Perhaps Saban believed in his defense and that it could hold LSU. If he had punted he may have gotten the ball back instead LSU getting closer to the end zone and successfully kicking field goals.

Any other coach with poorer resume would have been implicated. If Bama gets to play LSU again and the result is the same, consider the shine completely off the armor.

I agree. This time, we won't let ya'll cross the 50.

I think you mean, "their offense won't let them cross the 50".

He hasn't gotten a pass, at least not here in AL. He's been heavily criticized for deciding to take it to overtime with 1:40ish left and at least a chance to drive down the field and try to win in regulation.

According to the gumps,
LSU did not beat bama,
LSU just happened to get more points.

You do realize that when the mighty mighty crimson tide play football they are playing against another team, right? This team, provided they are worthy, has an equal say in whether Bama wins or loses a game.

You didn't lose because you beat yourselves. You lost because we are a little bit better. The sooner you come to grips with this, the better your chances are for being a well adjusted member of society.

ya'll were the better team that day; barely, but obviously better b/c you won. That still doesn't mean that there weren't self-inflicted mistakes.
