I think I just bricked my PS3

So, my USB ports weren't working, and like an idiot I took some advice I found on the internet and tried to do a system restore. Now the playstation won't do anything at all unless a controller is connected USING A USB CABLE. FML. Anybody dealt with the USB ports being shot before? I have no idea what happened to them, just stopped working a few days ago

Sorry man and don't take this the wrong way but all these threads make me glad I am a PC gamer, hardware failure is an easy fix.

Have you tried different USB cables? I know it sounds like a stupid thing, but I've seen cables go bad.

Dude, you have this insane setup, which is cool and all, but most of us don't need all that. There is nothing I need for gaming a ps3 doesn't provide. Still, your setup is pretty sweet looking.
