I'm commish and I won't veto unless there's collusion so I'll let it through, but wanted to get your opinions.

Steve Smith and Mike Turner for Nelson, Tate, White

The team giving up Smith and Turner is way out of playoff contention

White and Nelson are currently top 10 WRs in PPR leagues

Smith and Turner are top 10 at their positions, too.

Looks fine to me

Why even trade if you're out of it?

I guess you don't have trade deadline.

Trade seems fair to me though.

it's Jordy

you guys are right. Especially in a PPR Turner is nothing special

Don't do a deadline because I think they're kinda pointless

And team that is in last place and is making trades is pointless in week 13

true but if things are on the up and up, whatever.

Last place teams can still play the waiver wire in leagues, so they should be able to still make trades.

Why dog someone in last place making moves. It is obvious that they are losing for a reason, at least they are trying to win. I get annoyed when teams play early and give up at mid season when they realize they are out of it. Crappy to lose to a team early when they had a good week then later in the season that team is simply ignoring it and lose all the way out giving out cheap victories along the way.

for starters your trade deadline is too late into the season.

Well, the sole purpose is the deadline is to ensure shitty teams don't start throwing bones to good teams or making trades that don't help them at all, help a contender, and are technically "even."

I'd guess that's what they are alluding to.

This trade is fair though.

Weeks 10,11,12, 13 aren't mid season.

If a team is eliminated from playoff contention, he shouldn't be trading. There's no "playing for pride" at that point, especially when other teams are competing for $1k+. Why let them influence a playoff race they aren't involved in?

Waivers are different. Every team has a shot at the pool of players. And they aren't going to impact a team like top 10 WRs and RBs are.

It's just asking for an uprising if the last place, eliminated team is trading with a playoff contending team

teams in out of the playoffs shouldnt be allowed to trade

honestly if teams are mathematically out of the playoffs and the trading deadline hasn't passed, then your trade deadline is way to late.

Nothing good can really come out of a team out of the playoffs trading with a team at the top of the standings. Even the slightest unbalanced deal could cause a major stir.

it just so happens this trade is pretty fair. But he asked for a reason, so it is at least raising some eyebrows

huge logical gap here in that teams eliminated from playoffs are still allowed to play. They affect a playoff race that way, so building a team should still be allowed.

It's not illogical at all.

you were paranoid enough to start a thread on a perfectly fair trade only because one of the trading partners was in last place. I think that says enough.

a team in last place making a bad trade can affect more than just the playoff race. It can tilt the whole league.

It's already clear that your standards for a "fair trade" have changed because it is later in the year and a team out of contention is involved. How is that a good thing?

In past veto threads this year you have taken a pretty hard stance against vetoing any trade. And yet you are questioning this one.

I added that as a detail- not as the reason I started the thread.

never had any thought to vetoing this one, just wanted to know what people thought. The original post said that.

Bmac, we are running a consolation bracket in TDFL for teams who didn't make the playoffs. It's a $20 buy in. Two teams don't want to participate. If you would like to get a taste of TDFL and take over a team for the rest of the year, come to the TDFL thread.

You can't trade or make waiver moves, but you would set the lineup weekly.
