When should I sell my BCSNC ticket reserves?

I purchased the LSU ticket reserves at $165 each (plus $350 face value + fees = $535 per ticket.)

The seats are located in the plaza but I don't know where exactly.

Currently, the ticket reserves are going for approx $1400/ticket on the marketplace. Should I sell them now (since I haven't paid the face value yet that leaves them basically at $200 each) or should I wait till I get them in hand and them sell on eBay?

I understand if they were on the 50 yard line 20 rows up they could be worth a ton on ebay. However, I'm not sure how ticket reserves allocates their seats but I'd assume it's more likely I'm in the end zone or worse corner end zone.

Will I make more profit waiting to get the tickets and selling them online or just selling them now in marketplace? What can I expect the range to be for BCSNC tickets in plaza being that we'll play bamalandteam?

TIA

I would wait....If it's LSU-Bama (we'll know for sure Sunday night), then the prices of tickets on the open market should be $1500-$2000, if not more.

and FWIW, I don't think the highest offer to buy is $1400....that's the lowest offer to sell at the moment...the highest offer to buy right now in the Plaza is $1250.....so that basically means "market value" of a Plaza ticket at the moment is $1600....Personally, I think you'll able to get more than $1600 once LSU-Bama is announced.

All that said, you know your finances better than us....You can make a guaranteed $1000 profit per ticket right now with no more risk/hassle. That aint too shabby.

FYI. We used ticket reserve for tickets to the 2007 BCS game but didn't have the tickets in hand until hours before the game.

yeah, but back then the reserves weren't handled directly by the bowl itself. It's a lot "cleaner" transaction this time.

And FWIW, even back then, I had zero issues. Got my tickets, all together, perfect transaction. No issues.

What ticket reserve website did you use?

THIS RESERVE WEBSITE

Any idea where the seats are usually? Are they crappier seats or is it completely random?

I own two of the Plaza reserves as well. I'm waiting until I get my tickets in hand before I decide what to do. We are going to the game regardless, but I'd like to sell my plaza tickets and buy some terrace tickets and pocket the difference IF there is a big difference. My wife is totally against this and wants to sit on the plaza level. That's a lot of money for a little closer view. I'm tempted to risk buying some Oklahoma State reserves because they are so cheap. If some how they go... that would be a HUGE profit. I think it's almost worth the risk. Thoughts?

Buy low .... sell high. That's my best advice.

currently the cheapest ones on stub hub in the plaza are listed at $2000 and average around $4000. That doesn't mean that that's what they will sell for, just what they are listed for now. I'm not going to sell the reservations. I'm going to wait until I get the ticket in hand and maybe then list it on stub hub.

After thinking about it, I think your selling fees will be cheaper on ebay. I think they limit the fee to $100 per auction. Then you'd have to pay about 3% paypal fees, unless you found someone local to pay cash.

Could someone please explain reserves to me. How is that different than buying a ticket?

The more I think about it, just sell now and be done with it...Take your $1000 profit per reserve and be happy.

Why deal with the hassle of having to sell them, etc? And don't forget that the tickets won't be mailed out until AT THE EARLIEST two weeks before the game.

I have 4 terrace tickets reserved, and 2 premium terrace for OSU (got em cheap) so I should know the answer to this, but when is the latest you can sell your reserves without actually buying the ticket at face value? Thanks

The market closes the site says shortly after the teams are announced.

Myself would sell the reserves and not even have to deal with the tickts themselves.

I emailed ticket reserve and they said they would mail them 10 days before the game fedex overnight. I am not sure if we find out where the tickets are located sooner but I know we will at least have them in hand 9 days before the game. Also you can take a child in the game under 2yo without having to buy an extra ticket.

holding 2 premium terrace and 8 terrace.

that's the plan, sell my four terrace tickets, and pull hard for OSU.
