You would think they would be up at arms fighting to get recognized as the best candidate to play in BCS Championship game.... instead, I get the sense that they rather not be embarrassed by LSU in the BCSNCG and would rather play Stanford in the Fiesta Bowl where they might have a better chance of winning their first BCS game....

There is some small chatter about if they win against OU, and how much they might need to win bye to move up to number 2, but I don't think they want it....

sad but true... at least thats my take on spending some time over there....

here is one example: LINK /

but in general I just compared what the rant might look like if our positions were reversed

I do not think they are convinced they can beat OK so why worry about the BCSNCG.

I am not convinced they can beat OK.

So the choices are losing by 30 or wining by 30. DOH!! humm, which would I rather. LSU loosing by 30 in a BCS bowl or winning by 30 in the Capital one, uh I will take the W ever time.

I just clicked that link and this was the topic at the top of the page:

"Funny that the LSU fans are so willing to help us out by posting pro-OSU stuff and verbally fighting for our cause... err wait, actually it is insulting if you think about it . . . These LSU fans are arguing in favor of us for one reason and one reason only -- they believe we would be a cakewalk in the national championship game!"

Well, if your team only held 2 opponents under 24 points, would you want your team playing LSU?

Oklahoma State ranks 107th in total defense. Bama and LSU rank 1 and 2 in total defense.

I have some friends that are Okies; they seem to be much less delusional and talk much less "smack" than Bama, Oregon, Arkansas, and teams like that.

I tend to disagree. I would rather make it to the NC and lose (even in blowout fashion) that go to the Capital One and win any day!!! But that's just me....

oklahoma state has no championship experience; this is all new to them. they have no confidence on the national stage and are probably thinking they will lose to ou and would get killed by lsu or bama. personally, i agreee with them on all counts. it takes awhile to get used to the limelight and you'd better have a damn good defense to excel.

I'm getting the same vibe from Bama fans I run into up here in Knoxville. Seems to be a common theme.

They will make noise if the beat OU. They are actually being smart about it and not running their mouths now. If they did that and then lost to OU, then they'd look like dumbasses.

Also, I'm going with OSU wanting to be in the NC game. They aren't in hiding shivering at the thought of playing in the NC game.

How many ranked teams has Bama beaten?
How many ranked teams has OSU beaten?
How many time this season has Bama LOST to LSU?
How many times this season has OSU lost to LSU?
What could possibly be funnier than watching you gumps in complete meltdown for being left out of the NC game?

You can tell by the price of the reserves for Bama versus what reserves are going for OSU even up to the point before they lost to Iowa State, that they aren't very confident to get in. I'd be willing to bet LSU fans probably own 75 percent or more of their national championship reserves right now.

Way to go Bama, you faced one offense in the top 60, and Georgia Southern ran all over the place.

You'll probably claim another National Championship no matter what happens anyway

How much is an OSU reserve right now? Linkage?

Might be a decent flier if low enough

I'm feeling a shift in opinion sentiment if they bit OU.

It's just a sign of a program not being ready to take the next step.
