What if Bama was in the SEC east?

And both LSU and Bama had these exact teams, with the same results, LSU winning the regular season game 9-6 in OT? They would be playing each other again in the SECCG. And if Bama would win that by a close margin, do you think they would both stay #1 and #2 in the BCS (like most people think if LSU lost the current SECCG to GA) and meet for a third time in the BCSCG?

No,

I think recent losses mean more than older ones. No way would have Bama gotten a nod fo rthe NC game.

As per NOW it would depend on other teams records and the current standings. But if everyone else chocked (like this year) then they would play a third winner take all............

What if Georgia had not lost games to Boise and South Carolina? They would be 12-0, without having previously faced Alabama, Arkansas, or LSU. Where would they be ranked? Under this hypothetical, they would likely be ranked 2nd. So, if they lose to LSU next weekend, would they have a claim to a rematch one month later in the national championship game?
