He can tell the truth now that he left ESPN. They let him go because they wanted him to lie about somethings and he refused. Ended up at Yahoo sports.

My brother just showed me this. I've always thought Urban was a weasel...kind of fake...whatever.

Forde nailed this.

There are rumors floating that Meyer left because he knew Tress was out and couldn't realistically make a move directly from UF to OSU.

Who knows but the guy can coach and can win

nice try, but Urban pulled this health/family thing after the 2009 SECCG, when Alabama beat them badly...Tressell was not in danger of losing his job at that point.

Urban saw the losses mounting without a Tebow-like QB, and he saw an opportunity to jump ship.

I'm not saying they are true, but that's just what was said.

I'm not 100% sold on this honestly, but if at the end of the day he stays at OSU for 5 years and wins a National Title, then quits, oh well

UF is a better job even before the upcoming NCAA hammer, after it isn't even close. Not a good move imho, but he will win.

He'll win games. He'll beat Michigan and win the Big10 for you. Perhaps even a NC. But you're indeed wise not to expect him to work through his contract.

No, it isn't.

Florida was middle of the pack in college football prior to 1996 and they're back in the middle of the SEC pack as we speak.

Ohio State has been a top 5 job for a long time.
As for the NCAA hammer? You're going to be sorely disappointed at the sanctions. They'll be a little harsher than what Ohio State has already self-imposed.

That has absolutely nothing to do with where they stand as a program now. Congrats you have a richer history than them, UF is still considered a better job.

Largely because of the offensive mess your new coach bailed on.

Most people agree that the Florida job is better than the Ohio State job.
