Sucks.

We went there for dinner last night (I know, during the Bayou Classic but the place was almost empty.)
I can handle inept/inexperienced waitresses, but....
I have a problem with impotent/inept managers. After getting our drink order wrong for the 3rd or 4th time, (and after the waitress spilled 2 drinks on the table) the manager finally came over and said he would "take care" of the mixed drinks and take them off the tab.
When we paid our bill, all of the mixed drinks were still on there, and we were charged $1.50 per drink for ice.
The manager told us "take care of it" meant we didn't have to pay for the drinks that were sent back due to waitress error, and that there was nothing he could do about the $1.50 'on the rocks' fee. We had to ask for napkins and plates, and had to remind our waitress multiple times as to what we ordered.
I've never demanded anything free and I have no problem paying for what I ordered, but I shouldn't have to jump through hoops just for a meal.
My expectations were really low (i.e. burger and beer "sports bar style" service) and Walk On's couldn't even meet that standard.

Short version:
Mediocre food.
Terrible customer service.
Clueless waitress and hostess.

Absolutely worthless manager.

Glad we didn't get that waitress. We didn't have any peoblems at all. The service was good and they were quite busy when we went.

"On the rocks" also sometimes means you get a heavier pour.

If you ordered a Makers on the rocks at a bar I work at...we are SUPPOSED to pour you a shot and a half and charge you an extra $1. I just pour normal and charge normal.

And I would add, how do you know?

But the manager should have been able to do whatever necessary to make it right. You don't seem like an unreasonable guy. Don't blame you if you don't go back.

We went once on a Saturday afternoon for a LSU game and had quite the opposite experience. The food was average like I expected, but the wait staff and managment seemed to be really doing a good job.
