So the announcer in the Clemson games just said, so what good is a field goal down 14?
"Well it makes it a two possession game."

It does make it a 2 possession game. 14-3=11. FG and TD with 2 point conversion.

I think you're just making a big deal out of an announcer misspeaking. He was obviously trying to point out to the dumbass who asked him what the point of kicking a FG in a 14 point game was that there is indeed a good reason to do so.

Herbie just had a nice one there when Luck slid in bounds with 3 minutes left after getting a first down, saying he stayed in bounds to keep the clock running and it displayed great awareness. Nevermind the fact that the clock starts on the ready for play as long as there's more than 2 minutes left in the half.
