I'll be in D.C. next weekend and want to find a good place (pref near convention center area)to watch the SEC Champ. Any suggestions?

Assuming you are talking about the Verizon Center, most people have been watching it at Molly Malone's on 8th Street, SE. It is right across the street from the Marine Barracks.
ETA: It's at the Eastern Market metro stop on the blue line.

The Cajun Experience DC. 1825 18th Street NW. Two of the owners are LSU alumni. Come check us out!
Our restaurant is a shrine to LSU. Seriously.
We are an 8 min walk from Dupont Circle metro stop (red line).

Whats the crowd age? 20-ish, mixed?

We have a decent mix of LSU fans, plenty of the 20s/single types and us older married geezers are also represented pretty well. FYI, we do live music on the weekends as well...good stuff.
Our place seats 75, so we are not huge, but we have a nice bar and heated patio. Plenty of TVs showing ALL LSU games (and Saints games if you dig that too).

I watch LSU games at Arlington Rooftop bar, it's a really good place. Awesome neighborhood and good food for a good price. Tons of LSU fans should be there

Sounds like he was talking about the Convention Center at Mount Vernon Square, but that's pretty close to Verizon Center anyway.

Wow, never knew that. I've watched games at 18th Amendment, which is pretty much right around the corner on Pennsylvania and 6th St. SE.
Of all the places mentioned, the one that seems closest to the Convention Center is the one in Northwest.
