Whats the story on Kolby Copeland

Recently watched mandeville beat parkway to advance to the 3rd round of the playoffs. Kolby Copeland of Parkway is an absolute stud but everyone there said he's going high in the baseball draft. Was he ever recruited by LSU? Or is he that good that we didn't bother bc he's going straight to the pros? Very Suprised iv never heard he's name passed around, very dominant ath

Nothing against the kid, but I think most would agree that he is not up to LSU caliber in football.

Probably the top HS prospect in LA for 2012. Had a good junior season and a better summer season in a collegiate wood bat league.
Grades/Attitude are his weaknesses. However, he will still probably go in the first 10 rounds, per scout I talked to.

According to what I've been told, he will not be eligible/grades. He was out for the first month this year due to grades/ineligibility.

I think I read that he's committed to BRCC. I know one of the top rated players in the state is and I think it's him.

For academics or because he'll sign? Because you basically just need a live pulse to qualify for JUCO baseball.

Because he'll sign. Even though he's a red flag for scouts, someone will take a chance on him in the first 10 rounds.

He can't get into any 4 year college-- grades are too low and ACT not high enough. He was recruited by LSU early on, until they looked at his transcripts. Kolby will sign -- for a decent amount of money,, and never use the college scholarship program money he will be offered.

As stated his grade are not on par. He has also sat out until this last week for DUI. He then missed a court appointed AA meeting which extended his suspention another week. He is a good kid that made a dumb mistake. He will learn. He was not recuited well because he has made it well known that his intentions are to be drafted.

Pretty sure he was committed to Florida for baseball before the DWI
