What is wrong with these people!? He just said he doesn't want to watch another boring game in the National Championship but still feels a rematch is the only thing to do. Then continues to whine about a playoff system.

I guess when two great defenses loaded with pro talent get together and beat the hell out of each other it is boring these days. Sorry but it just infuriates me when I hear BS like that. Go watch a freaking Tuesday night MAC game if you want to be entertained, Mike!

people like to see points. I'll admit, I'd rather watch a 24-17 game than 9-6.

The more that feel this way, the less likely a rematch becomes.

He and Golic are both idiots and Greenberg doesn't know shite about college football.
Why bother with such idiots?

Its the age of the home run derby. People don't want the real thing - just a bullshite wanna be replica of the real thing. Funny thing is - ask those idiots what they think of Vince Lombardi coached teams. Yep - smash mouth D. For true football fans only.

For the average college football fan on the outside looking in, it was not a fun game to watch.. Unless you are an old schooler who loves defense. People who like to watch a lot of scoring has the right not to want to see another TDless game.

Was watching Around the Horn and it was mentioned that in 2006 the human polls prevented such a thing from happening. I can't recall the specifics but it involved Michigan or MSU.

I can't see the human polls allowing this rematch to happen anyways.

Yeah, I'd like a few more points too.

But I like to see people actually HIT each other. It's football - these morons have forgotten how it's supposed to be played. It's not supposed to be pitch and catch, 63-56 final scores with everyone walking off of the field with sparkling white jerseys.

And for the morons screaming about a playoff, you'd just see Bama and LSU win another game or two before they faced each other in the final. They are the two best - get over it. I wish another team could step up (other than Arkansas obviously), but it hasn't happened.

Okie St. still has an outside chance. Their loss wasn't that bad because ISU is better than in years past. They have had a couple of not-so-pretty losses, but they will go bowling. And at least it was close and on the road on a Friday night.

I wouldn't mind seeing them if they beat OU. At least they will be conference champs if they do so as opposed to what might happen. But still, LSU has to beat a very good Arkansas team first. It's not worth getting fired up over yet because LSU could get taken down. It happened before.

Greenberg I'd a New Yorker who freely admits he's not a big college fan. And like most New Yorkers, he knows next to nothing about college football. The only ones in the city who have an appreciation or knowledge of the sport are transplants.

Then he doesn't matter. If you're doing a sports show and you're not a college football fan, you're a pretender.

But people will assume a rematch will be played similar to the last game. Its the only thing they have to reference to so those who hate low scoring games will not want to see a rematch.

Greenberg is (a) a New York City dweeb whose most athletic endeavor to date is walking up the stairs from the subway and (b) going to say whatever he thinks is the opposite of what Mike Golic (a former Philadelphia Eagle OL and a true football expert) will say.

it was a great game if you like old school. It stunk for modern style points. But with QBs that too often struggle at passing, Miles may not have a choice. I still think he leans towards running, regardless. I'd like to see more passing, but I'm just one fan.

The comment he had that bothers me is one that a lot of people try to argue.

He said people don't like the idea of a rematch but it happens often in every other sport.

No shite, but those other sports don't have 120 teams and only 12 games where the top teams are rarely matched up.

He also said that the only reason people do not want a rematch is because the game was boring, and he does not understand why people oppose rematches since they happen in other sports. Of course no one seems to understand that in other sports, they have play offs. I like Mike, but he is often a goober

Yeah, because 95% of all college games don't have all that stuff.

By the way, our two turnovers that the D got were awesome plays. They weren't really sloppy plays by the offense. Both took great athletic effort and were what most normal people would call exciting plays.
