And then gets to face us in the NCG? Will the voters do that? The talking heads at ESPN certainly seem bent in that direction.

Are they simply selling the drama or do The Powers That Be really think an already-defeated-by-LSU-at-home, non-conf champ, sitting up healing while LSU battles for the SEC championship Bama should face LSU in the NCG?

I don't give a shite about Bama, per se. We stood toe to toe with them, took their best hits, shut down their titan running back and did what we do best: Win. Against good teams.

But the principle behind a potential "The Rematch" would only further prove how ridiculous this BCS system is. IMFO.

If we beat Arky, our ticket is punched to the national title game.

Georgia game everyone can relax and enjoy, because win or lose we're in the BCSCG.

I didn't even realize until a few minutes ago that the BCS moved the NC game up to Jan. 9.

That would be kind of shitty.

I know there have been a ton of threads on this, and I'm honestly not worried about any opponent LSU plays when CLM has a month to prepare for. But is Stanford back in the discussion now? Win conference with 1 loss.......or even OSU? They can beat OU (no defense) and be in a good position.

Clearly, the correct choice on November 5th was to lose.

I'd rather be in LSU's position Bama's. Noway would I want to have LSU's fate solely dependent on what the voters want.

I just find it funny how this particular topic doesn't get discussed in mainstream media when talking about the rematch scenario

While LSU is playing Georgia, there will be other 1 loss teams playing for their conference championship as well, while bama is sitting at home.

It wouldnt surprise me if the voters put another 1 loss team (WHO HAVE TO WIN THEIR CONF) ahead of bama. Very possible.

This is how I'm leaning. The computers have loved the Big 12 this season. If OK. State beats OU in Stillwater, they go IMO. The voters will take any other viable option other than a rematch. Particularly for 2 teams, not only from the same conference, but from the same side of that conference.

Think of it as practicing for Bama. We won't be as rusty.

If we beat Arky, we're going to the national championship whether we win or lose to UGA.

It's all relative!

What's the other choice?

After a week or so, being idle goes from being an asset to a liability. Remember in 2007 Ohio State had two more weeks off than we did and came in to the game stale. Assuming we don't lose and don't get anybody hurt, I'd rather be playing.

OSU is the only other possible choice.

Boise won't even have won their own shitty conference

VT won't be even sniffing that game.

Houston--I wish but no. They'll go to the sugar bowl

Unfortunately with all the top contenders going down, Bama likely punched their ticket just by standing by.
