They won't. They change their minds, most of them, every couple hours.
3 days ago Lou Holtz said Oregon was the best one loss team in the nation. Tonight he was tooting SC's horn.
It's all fluff.
With the exception of a couple, most of the people on ESPN I could do without.

Just like they do every year... Can you say for sure we will beat Arky and could beat Alabama again? I think until the NC game is played there is still a little room for debate. Stop being so butthurt.

Seems in past seasons they were much more forthright in declaring that much less deserving #1 teams were awesome.

they will still find reason not to give the team credit. 2003 we got not much after beating up on OU.
Had to hear about USC.
2007 we were the worst champ ever to put on a champion hat. two too many loses.
It will not be much different this time.

Hopefully this week. I still don't get the Bama outplayed us bullshite. LSU got to the goal line TWICE and could have scored a TD in OT if Needed.

Actually, Ohio State was unanimous no. 1 in BCS in 2006.

When, if ever, they sit and watch the team in question play more than 30 seconds in some highlite reel. They don't see the whole picture.

I think it has a lot to do with their obsession of stats. They hate how LSU and LM can spread out their stats over 2 QBs and 3 RBs. They love the teams made up of one or two guys. They like teams with Heisman candidates. The only reason we don't have candidates is simply because we are deep and can spread the ball around.

They're pundits though. They say defense wins championships, but defense isn't exciting the audience.
